Established in 1860, the award winning Tahbilk winery is considered one of Australia’s most beautiful and historic wineries with a 1,214 hectares estate that includes 11 kms of picturesque Goulburn River frontage. The vineyard itself includes rare French Rhone Valley whites of Marsanne, Viognier and Roussanne vines, as well as the Rhone reds – Shiraz, Grenache & Mourvedre. Also planted are the traditional varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc & Verdelho, and newer varieties—Tempranillo and Savagnin.
At Tahblik Winery you will enjoy a delicious gourmet lunch at the Riverside Café before deciding whether you would like to enjoy a 4km ecotrail walk, taste wines in the historic winery and enjoy a cellar door self-guided tour. Fowles Wine was built in 2000 and features a barrel hall with over 1000 wine barrels. Fowles Wine is situated in the Strathbogie Ranges. Fowles Wine grow many varieties of vines, such as Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Semillon, Merlot, Pinot Noir and many more.
